Samsung Galaxy AI will support four additional languages

Key Takeaways
  • Samsung is expanding Galaxy AI to handle four additional languages.
  • Beginning on October 28th, Dutch language support will be accessible.
  • The new language packs will be available for users to download via the Settings app.

Samsung declared today that it is introducing four more languages to Galaxy AI to increase its usefulness.

By the end of this year, users will be able to speak with Galaxy AI in Romanian, Dutch, Swedish, and Turkish. The release dates for the other languages have not yet been formally confirmed, although support for Dutch will begin on October 28th in the Netherlands and Belgium.

These new languages should significantly increase the technology’s accessibility. With the addition of these four new languages, Galaxy AI now supports 16 languages. Despite being just half of the 40 languages that Gemini Live supports, this is still significant.

Given that nearly every Android smartphone can access Gemini Live, it makes sense that Google is actively increasing the number of languages that its AI model supports. On the other hand, Galaxy AI is only compatible with a limited number of Galaxy devices.

Samsung is adding more varieties of traditional Chinese and Portuguese to its list of supported languages, in addition to launching four new languages. The Settings app on compatible Galaxy devices will allow users to download the new language packs and dialects.
